College of Commerce

The College of Commerce, Patna was established in 1949 with only commerce classes in the beginning, and hence, this name. In 1952, the college was affiliated to Bihar university. Science teaching was started in 1957 followed by Arts in the year 1960 and Law in 1963.

Currently the college is imparting undergraduate and postgraduate education to students in many subject of Arts, Science and commerce with adequate infrastructure including wellfurnished lab, library and spacious classrooms. At present, the college is constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya.

The computer revolution and the era of Information Technology have changed our lives drasticaly. Today, every aspect of our lives is heavily dependent on Information Technology.

So, College of Commerce is launching the BCA course to provide quality computer education available to students of Bihar. The course has been designed by our team of experts keeping in mind, the current trends in the market so that the Professional Courses are more Job Oriented.

Admission

All students who have passed their (+2) exam (I.Sc., I.Com., I.A.) with 45% marks are eligible to take the common aptitude test for admission. The candidates will have to attach attested photocopies of the mark sheet of last examination, date of birth certificate, two photographs and caste certificate (if required) along with their application.

There are 40 seats in total available for admission to the course.
As per the UGC guidelines, reservations for the SC/ST and OBC applicants should apply with caste certificate if want consideration of their claim to reserved seats.

Entrance Test
Admission to BCA course will be through a Common Aptitude test conducted by Dept. of Computer Science, College of Commerce at the beginning of session. The test will be of 90 minutes and will comprise of 60 questions, which is of multiple answer type of 2 marks each. There is no negative marking.
