Extension activities by the college during the year 2006-07 (December 2006-November 2007):
STRIDE 2006 [Our main 3-day annual public extension program held in the month of December every year]
1. About 2000 people from the surrounding localities were benefited by the free clinical tests done by the students
of Biotechnology.
2. A group of young physicians (medical graduates that were alumni of the college) remained available for general consultation for the public, and, about 200 people got expert sugestions from them regarding maintenance of their ailments like diabetes, heart problems, dietary deficiencies etc.
3. A number of basic and useful techniques such as how to keep your water and milk free from contamination
were demonstrated to the visitors from the rural areas.
4. Students of Biotechnology presented some advance techniques of molecular biology and immunology for the benefit of students of science
from different colleges and localities.
5. The Department of Psychology arranged clinical assistance for counseling & rehabilitation.
6. IQ tests and other psychological tests were available for young generation.
7. Department of Functional English organized awareness about mass media and opportunities in them.
8. Department of B.C.A. had stalls where the students demonstrated applicablity and importance of computer.
9.Posters were presented by the students of different departments on several relevant topics by the students of
the different departments.
10. Students of Botany had a presentation on herbals and aromatics that can be used by the country folk in different diseases.
11. Blood was donated by the students of the college on-site in the Campus to the blood bank of Jai Prabha Hospital, Kankarbagh, Patna associated with AIDS Control Society under the supervision of Dr. Gitanjali Kumari.
Blood Donation by Botany Department's DONORS' GROUP: The department of Botany & Biotechnology comprises a blood donors' club that served 27 people at the verge of death during the year admitted in nursing homes, govt. hospitals, and, requiring blood of specific group in emergency

* Distribution of food packets during flood as relief.
* Campaigning for cleaniness.
* Awareness campaign against nudity in films, posters, print media etc.
* Awareness campaign in slums regarding women education and girl child.
* Organising blood donation camps.
* Awareness campaign regarding AIDS.
* Awareness campaign on Cancer.
* Awareness campaign on Human rights.
* Campaigning against drug addiction.
* Plantation of trees and awareness campaigning regarding clean environment.
* Awareness of Social service through street plays and "ekankis".
